New voter awareness effort launched
Every four years, the Young Lawyers Division reactivates its Voter Awareness Committee to help high school students better understand the American electoral system and the history of voting rights in the country. A number of resources are available for educators, parents and students on the voter education page.
Schools or groups interested in having an attorney speak to students about voting issues may contact the TBA at (615) 383-7421 or toll free at (800) 899-6993.
Final 2008 Long Range Plan released
Every five years, the YLD revises its long-range plan. Over the course of the last year, the Long Range Planning Committee worked diligently to draft a plan to guide the organization for the next several years.
