UPL enforcement resources now available
The TBA Standing Committee on the Protection of the Public from the Unauthorized Practice of Law has developed a sample protocol for use by local bar associations handling complaints about individuals and businesses endangering Tennessee consumers through the unauthorized practice of law.

The Committee developed the sample policy after surveying local bar associations around Tennessee and discovering that many do not have formal policies in place for handling UPL complaints.

You can find the sample protocal along with links to consumer resources in the Attorney General's office at right. You can also find the final report of the Real Estate UPL Subcommittee of the Special Committee. Both the report and the protocol have been approved by the TBA House of Delegates and Board of Governors.
